1. About Afrofresh

Afrofresh is an online marketplace that connects customers with local African and Caribbean grocery stores ("Merchants"). We provide the technology platform; the Merchants fulfil orders and are responsible for their products.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order. By using Afrofresh you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Orders and Payment

All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By placing an order you authorise Afrofresh to charge the total amount shown, including any applicable taxes and delivery fees.

Orders are subject to availability. If a Merchant is unable to fulfil your order, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

4. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or Merchant preparation time. Afrofresh is not liable for delays outside our reasonable control. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. Failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses may not be eligible for refund.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel an order while it is in "Order placed" or "Confirmed" status. Once a Merchant begins preparing your order, cancellation is no longer possible. Refunds for eligible cancellations are processed within 5–10 business days.

If items are missing, incorrect, or of poor quality, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will work with the Merchant to resolve the issue.

6. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. Afrofresh is not liable for losses caused by unauthorised access to your account where you have not followed reasonable security practices.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use Afrofresh for any unlawful purpose, to submit false information, to interfere with platform operations, or to harm other users or Merchants.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Afrofresh's liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Afrofresh after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
